Ed Bearse
Ed Bearse has over 25 years of experience in plastics and engineering. He has worked for such companies as General Motors, Dow Chemical, Standard Oil Company of Indiana (Amoco), and Allen Group.
In 1989, Ed created and managed a company designed to do prototyping and product development in cut sheet thermoforming. He produced such large thermoformed parts as hazardous waste containers, swimming pool steps, a complete plastic automotive body, a sailboat, several speed boats, pillars for buildings, and marine engine covers.
In 1999, Ed co-founded Plastic Concepts & Innovations (PCI) where he worked as a consultant and also helped to develop and provide training at Advanced Thermoforming Seminars.
In 2006, Ed went on to establish Advanced Plastic Consultants LLC (APC). He has worked with ASI, General Motors, Ford, Daimler-Chrysler, DuPont, Dow Chemical, A. Schulman, Bayer, Monsanto, Exxon, Solvay Engineered Polymers, Decoma, Guardian Automotive, and many other companies to develop over 800 thermoformed products in his career.
He has been a part of and/or developed many award winning products. Ed has developed new processes for thermoforming and has participated in and holds several patents.
He belongs to the Society of Plastic Engineers (SPE), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Society of Mechanical Engineers (SME), and the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers.
